Aoife DeMille

Aoife DeMille is an Irish multimedia installation and sound artist currently based in Dublin.

Aoife's sound art seeks to explore rich emotive imagery through electronic and vocal sound design and manipulation. As an installation and performance artist, she combines elements of sound design, live electronic and vocal performance, visual projection, and interactivity with audience members to create self-reflexive and transformative environments. She seeks to better define her arts practice areas through the conduction of academic research, contextualising her pieces in broader conceptual frameworks of interdisciplinary study.  

Aoife is currently developing a number of projects as supported by the Arts Council of Ireland which will be exhibiting in Dublin at the end of 2021.

Aoife is also a co-founder of the ISLO Collective, a multi-medium artist collective and organisation which seeks to advocate for emerging artists and to engage with innovative multimedia technologies to create dynamic events and exhibitions in Dublin.

Overall, her work hopes to act as facilitator for emotional introspection - sound journeys that delicately suggest but never instruct, Aoife's work provides a platform for listeners to become co-creators in the experience.
